Goat Girl have just announced that they will be releasing their third studio album, Below the Waste, on June 7th via Rough Trade Records.

The London trio - consisting of Lottie Pendlebury (she/her), Rosy Jones (they/them) and Holly Mullineaux (she/her) - co-produced the album alongside John 'Spud' Murphy (Lankum & black midi).

Additionally, Goat Girl have shares the album's lead single, "ride around." The song comes alongside a music video that was directed and produced by award-winning South London production company Foreign Body Productions.

Lead track 'ride around' celebrates honest and authentic relationships. Pendlebury explains "I dreamt of conversations that stripped away all the etiquettes and went below the surface to where the most interesting parts of ourselves tend to be suppressed. At the time, I was listening to lots of Phillip Glass and Deerhoof, music that plays with the relationship between tensions and resolution, which definitely influenced this song." The "ride around" video plays on these themes, "exploring outsiderdom via both desire for and fear of connection," the video's directors say.

Below The Waste is available for pre-order from Rough Trade Records here. Additionally, Goat Girl will embark on a short UK tour in March, followed by more extensive touring, including dates in North America to be announced soon.
